Computers and ethernet cards?

Wtf? I just bought a new laptop, I have it all set up and went to install the internet. Apparently I have no ethernet card in it... What a kick in the ass I thought all computers came standard with them now. Am I missing something?

not all do youll have to go buy one...and im sure theres an easy way to put it in most laptops just have the slot for them

IN order to connect I have to have my isp installed. When I try to install it it says error and that it couldn't detect an ethernet card. The same thing happened on my desktop, once I installed one it worked.

i dont really know what to do ive never had a problem with my wireless internet......even though this sounds really gay and i dont think itll really do anything just try signing in on msn and run the connection toruble shooter thing..i think wireless like drops sometimes and i always just run that to get it going again so..
