Should i rocker my skis?

yo i was just trying to get some feedback on whether i should rocker my mik d's. i have two brand new pair of skis, and i was thinking of rockering the mik's just to see how they ride in the park. inteligent feedback only, no stupid dumbass comments please.

no. simple and plain. stop trying to be like everyone else and ride rockered, with the chance of breaking your skis and killing the flex. go for it if you want... money must be easy

i tried rockering an older pair of skis and left em bent for 3 days and i couldn't get em to stay rockered... they look really fun if you could get them to work

well there old ass skis that im not gunna ride anymore, cuz i have 2 new pairs, so it was just an idea cuz i hear rockered skis in the park are sick

Rockering those skis will completely destroy the flex, so they wont handle like a true rockered ski.

you wont get any pop from sticks that have been bent to shit and the flex all fucked up. it wont help you at all, probably just damage your skis more

Rowen speaks the truth. I'm sure you will be able to buy rockered skis with a variety of dimensions in the future. Until then, if $$$ is so easy, why not throw down on some EP's or hellbents?

Pow skiing is supposed to be easier since the tip and tail are raised, thus floating over the pow easier. There supposed to make butters and presses easier too, but do't hold me to any of that, seeing as how I've never ridden any rockered skis

Do it. fuck what other people say about "copying eeyone else". people who know what is up hae known that rockered skis are the shit. I have been trying to get a pair for 3 years. Finally it's happening... ON3p!!!!!

I've been doin it with a pair of Liberty SB's. I just put C-Clamps under foot, one near the heel, one near the toe then crammed shit in the tips and tails so it's way exaggeratedly separated. They're a lil reverse camber now after like 3 weeks, so I figure after two month's they at least be sorta fun.

do this but throw a heat gun or blow dryer on the tip and tail at full blast. leave for a day or two. itll work way faster

skis that aren't built rockered or with camber generally have a tendency to become unrockered after a week or so. I rockered an old pair and withing a couple days they had gone right back to there original shape, this is from personal experience so im not 100% sure what the effect would be with a different ski.

Well Here are my two cents on rockered park skiing. And I will probably get flamed for saying it, because it is not trendy, it is not part of the cock that everyone is sucking, and it is no way innovative, just true. Rockered skis will ski slower then non rockered skis.  If you ski rockered skis in the park plan on dropping in 20-30 ft higher then you normally would. If the snow is slow or you already have speed issues you might just want to forget about clearing the jump; especially since popping is not going to be as trivial.  So say you do find a way to clear the jump, now you have to land. you land switch on the tip of your skis, you are probably not going to ski away. Oh and almost all of you rely on the stiffness of your tips when landing switch. If that support is not there you will wash out.  The same is true for your tails when landing regular. So you pretty much will have to stomp everything perfectly if you want to land your tricks.
So I would say that you will not see everyone on rockered park skis in the next two years. Rockerd skis can be alot of fun provided you tend to keep your feet closer to the ground and don't plan on skiing that fast.

As for weather or not I think you should rocker you old skis. Go ahead, I am, If your not going to end up skiing on them otherwise you might as well, it will give you something to try out and experiment with, Do I think they will work well for jumps and pipe: probably not; can they be a lot of fun: yes

if there good skis, they should automatically respond against rockering in the first place, so it semms like it would get frustrating because the wouldnt keep there rocker-ing

just buy a pair of the reno rockers from moment!! fuck screwing up your skis dude, if you've got some cash lying around just pick up a pair of real rockered skis...they won't break after 10 days, and they will actually support you.

well there you go, problem solved. you're not going to want to ski rocker everyday, but if you just buy a pair of moment reno rockers, you can just have them chilling for the days you want to ride park on a rockered setup or just kill it in the pow .
