I ordered a pair of SPK boots yesterday at 2:00 PM and they were at my doorstep at 1:00 PM today (less than 24 hours later). Less than 24 hours to process my order and airmail it to Canada. Al's really has there act together so I just wanted to give them some credit for their excellent service. I highly recommend this site for ordering gear.

Yeah, I'm in Vancouver, ordered 2 pairs of bindings, standard ground rate shipping. Received them 2 days later.
Al's Ski Barn is hella legit.
But damn, customs broker fees are ridiculous. I hate couriers. We're paying them to take 5 minutes and fill out a form at the friggin' border? Next time I buy something, I'm having it shipped to the border crossing and I'm going down myself. I live in Vancouver, and I'm less than 2 hours from the border crossing... screw the couriers and their stupid fees

Yeah, but sometimes that half price plus hsipping and taxes and brokerage fees will cost more than if you just bought it at your local store
still, no complaints, esp. at SAC, ;)

although this is about als ski barn, i would like to share my story about customs... i ordered some rollerblades off ebay and i didnt get them for over a month so i had already accepted that the guy stole my money and i didnt think there was anything i could do. but then i receive them in the mail with a 35 dollar fee for customs. and i looked at this paper that was on the box and it said on it that customs sent out the rollerblades a full MONTH after they got it in. so the guy on ebay really did send them and it was fucking customs that held it there for a month and still charged me 35 bucks

Ordered my skis from them this past spring, and they were at my door the next afternoon.
Straight up killer speed, and unbeatable prices.
PS - Some of us live in areas with no trustworthy shops that deserve our money for a pair of skis.I buy my outerwear, and boots locally. But most of the shops around here are shady.
