It hurts me to read about people ragging on big mountain skiing. Granted park skiing is more accessible to the general public, but in my opinion it has become a cheap knockoff of skateboarding, and even worse, rollerblading. Nothing pisses me off more than to see some dude pull an ugly 360 tail grab and head out of the park without knowing how to even carve a turn. Chances he probably took up skiing again a year ago when it became `cool`. As far as I am concerned, big mountain is the core of skiing. It requires the most skill, both in terms of ability on snow, air, mountaneering skills etc... Park skiing as it is today is just a fad.
