So i was shopping around at a local shop and i have been thinking about getting the new anthems for this year. The worker at the store said they stopped carrying Line because the durability is awful. Like edges blowing out and stuff. Does anyone have any problems with they're Lines? Cause if i don't get the Anthems I am probably gonna get the new Volkl Walls.
my motherships have been marginally durable. the topsheets get shredded really easily. the edges are pretty good, and i guess the bases are decent. those are from the year that they had all those problems with the 1st gen invaders, idk if that has anything to do with my skis though.
line is awesome. they had some problems with the invaders a few years ago and everyone blew it way out of proportion. get the anthems. you'll love them cause they are a sick ski!
durability is fixed. line skis are made in the k2 factory now so its all good now. just keep in mind that anthems are a low priced ski but none the less they should get u through a full season of hard jibbing without any problems.
my orange twelve sixties held up better than any ski ive had, i dont use my blends on rails so i couldnt tell you about those, i just got last years invaders slightly used, so i cant say much about those yet.
That one year (06?) the invaders all broke, edges fell apart because they miscalculated the length, so it was actually like 1 cm too long (the edge), and the ink for the graphic didn't mesh with the topsheet, so it delammed.
No more problem.
Apparently shops said the only line skis they had taken back for warranty were Bacons. Invaders, the original problem, has been fixed.
Durability is fine.
the wrap around edge is soo sick their going to be bomb proof i only own line skis and if they ever did delam or the edge rips out their warranty is super legit and they will most likey have you a new pair in 2 weeks!
If they don't delam lines are money. However, the last 2 years a very high percentage of their skis delaminated. Ooh, and all the cap skis have really weak topsheets. But the bases and edges are high quality.
a very high percentage? i heard like one case of delam on non-invaders last year. cap topsheets last longer than cap if they don't delam, stop talking out of your ass.
exactly. i had a pair of the 178 mike nick pro's and they were sick as hell and mad durable. but like you said, invaders were garbage. our shop had almost every one come back delamed
I love how one model one year made everyone forget about that fact that line has always been making some of the most bombproof park skis out there, second to the head madtrix. One year of invaders got messed up cuz of the ink... it got fixed. all their other skis have always been and still are really durable.
