biting your tongue

Anyone know how to avoid biting your own tongue when your chin hits your knees on though landings?
I know it sounds stupid, but even when you don't stick your tongue out you can bite the side of the back of your tongue real nasty ...
any suggestions?

all you have to do is bite it completely off once and then you won't ever have to worry about it

I wear a mouth guard..it has helped a few times, just makes your teath safe and not as sharp so you dont bite off your tounge

I bit off the end of my tongue. I was playin hockey and got bodychecked, but i learned. I wear a mouthgard now, it also helps protect agaisnt concussions, did ya know that?

How the fuck does a mouthguard protect against concussions? I think your doctor or whoever told you that should die.

if you hit your chin without a mouth gaurd hard enough you can get a concussion......if you have a mouth gaurd it absorbs the shock and you won't get a concussion

yeah, one day i was teying the cab 3 and on one attempt i landed in the front seat and the grip off my pole hit my lip and jammed one of my braces into my lip, then ski patrol had to come and remove it, but that was ok cause i went out after that and landed it after that


when an officer pulls you over: gee son your eyes look red, have you been drinking?
respond: gee officer your eyes look glazed have you been eating doughnuts?

If I'm doing cliffs over twenty feet with sketch landings I put on a mouth guard, I carry one in my pants pocket so if it's sketch I just put it on, it's saved me a couple of times.

cased a 180 and bounced and caught both tails because the landing was so short I landed after the landing and whipped my head back almost bit through the side of my tounge it was nasty tounges heal fairly fast though, a couple weeks and it was better. 40ft jump with a 8 ft landing, it was retarded.

one time i got my wisdom teeth out, and cause of the novicane i could bite my tounge without any pain, just steal some of that stuff fro a dentist and you'll be ok

i dropped a 30 foot cliff on accident once and almost landed on a boulder and almost bit my top lip off and lost some teeth so im thinking about wearing a mouth guard now. but theyre uncomfrotable, like helmets... and so arguably not worth it.
