140lbs
5'8
80-90% Park
10-20% Rest of mountain
Looking for a buttery ski that will do well in the east coast, but will be able to survive out west when I travel
Currently ride 167 stl's and are just to small, want sumthing around 10cm bigger (give or take a few cm's)
Want a ski that has a sidecut that is 100% twin tip (invader ex. 110-81-110), or close to it
iam clueless because most skis that seem to fit my criteria are 181 or 180, and iam afraid they are just to big
well please help me out, i dont know what to do
thanks

Firstly, he isn't that heavy so it'd be fine for him.
Secondly, hand flexing is completly differrent to ride flex.
They would be a good choice for you...

its not flex when you bend with your hands but when there on your feet
there is a difference

a 165 would be plenty big enough

maybe the anthem would work. its 100% sysmetrical and has softer flex, fat for when you go out west too. i think they come in 179 and 171.

also you shouldnt be worried about going up to the upper 170cms or 180cm you 5'8'' thats about your own height. plus if your getting a ski thats symetrical the centermount will balance your skis off making them feel shorter and easier to swing

i think anything in the 180's would be way over his head. i think that 171 would be ok maybe like a middle 170 ski if your still growing

chronics are prolly to stiff and not symmetrical i know but they are still a super fun east coast ski and they could hold their own out west.

even though that is a good deal 180 is pretty big for a 5'8 person..some people might disagree but depeing on how much you ride what you ride and how good of a skier you already are..at 5'8 i think you would be better off with a 170

im 6'0 and i ride a 175 i have a pair of 185 pocket rockets that i rode for park a little..you could probably handle a 180 with a center mount ..get the more park oriented ski

The volkl walls would be really good for you. they are 115-87-115. You can get thin in 185, or 177 if you wand it a little bit smaller. Its Symmetrical, but isn't super soft. They are very durable, and good for you.
All times are Eastern (-5)
