Fire Water

k so ihad a few but I want to say something that everyone needs to realize soon. There was a fire on my street today, and this house was on flames, and while im watching the water i was like how do the trucks hold that much water? They must be so heavy. Then I walked back to my house to get water cause i was thirsty for actual liqued so on my way back I see a fire hydrened and realized that water actual comes from them in a time of need. Never really paid attention to that. Just thought you should know. Peace out nsss

but it sucks around my house cuz there arn't any fire hidrents. so if your house lights up its preaty well gone cuz the fire trucks have to bring the watter and its up a huge hill or like a 20-30min drive through trafic(going the speed limt and not having lights so itsfaster for fire trucks)

Remember to never park in front of a fire hydrant. You won't have windows anymore if the firemen need it. You'll have a hose going through one window and out the other.

And I'm pretty disappointed you (thread creator) did not know this very obvious fact. What did you think fire hydrants were for?

I'm a firefighter in my town....not that it has much to do with this thread really. Other than yea, water comes from hydrants.
Well actually i do have input. In my fire hydrant opening/connecting experiences, they make a freaking awesome noise as the water is coming up. Sounds like a jet engine revving as the water comes up from the ground. Pretty awesome.

scary water coming from ground story

so when i was 7 me and my brother where playing in my yard. in my yard there are pipes coming from the ground that go to the water line to my house. well my brother disides it would be fun to throw a smaller pipe down the first one. needless to say the water pipe broke and a blast of water blew out of the ground right benieth me. i have never gone near them since.

next time your driving pay attention to every fire hydrant you pass. you will start to go insane because there is one about every 100 feet. and you never notice it untill you actually pay attention
