This is going to be my first year riding park and I have no clue as to what ski would best suite a person who is starting to ride park.
I weigh 130 and am about 1,65.
I like skiing all of the mountain as well but im on the east coast so no pow.
Any suggestions welcomed.
Thanks !
p.s: I search barred.

Thanks. I was just looking at this years invaders and they look fucking sick, but i've heard that line has delaminating problems is this true or have they fixed this, whats deal with that?

Line has fixed their delam problems. K2 Silencers, K2 Fujis, Salomon foils ( full with, but still has the sidecut of an all mountain ski). Don't spend too much money just in case you don't like it.
Most of your money needs to be spent on boots/bindings. These are what is going to make/break your day at the hill. I never mind a shitty ski as long as i feel safe and comfy. Plus when you master a shitty ass ski, your going to LOVE a real park tool.

Line deffinitly fixed their delam problems. The fujative and invader are 2 of the most fun skis, at the cheapest price. you can find last years model (2007) for extremely cheap, around $200 online. PM me if you need any links

Shitty cause I am really loving this years invaders and for $400 thats def. worth it but if you say your 07b and are delaming..... I also need some bindings and I dunno if I should invest in some new boots. I bought some last year but they are not park boots.

delamination is the price you pay for skiing park, most common problem, along side cracked edges. If you stay away from rails your skis will last longer no matter the skis. Same goes for jumps, unless u land perfectly you cant rule out delam.
Sport some riveted sticks if your worried, otherwise i personally would suggest Fujitives, very fun skis.
K2 just baught line hence the reason people said they solved the problems. Im stoked for line, so invaders are a great choice too!

im about the same as you, not first year in park but I'm not in it nearly as often as some people on this site. I do hit rails and jumps now and then, but for me it's more moguls, trees etc... anyway, east coast too 135 lbs and 5'8''. im picking up a pair of bluehouse MR 171's in about 2 hrs for next season. last year I had a pair of rossi scratches in 158, way too small now of course but they were my first twins.

you wont need park boots if its your first year of park skiing, any boots will do, but make sure they fit properly

Honestly, if your worried about delaming invaders, which i havent seen any 07 0r 08's, just get the fujative's. They are a super fun ski, almost identical to the invader. I love my Fuji's. And you'll find them online for 200 bucks. And you can find Look PX12 Jib's online for 100. Your complete, 07 setup for 300 bucks.

Basically any pricepoint ski is entry level. Armadas got a new one, Invaders, Fujis, all that good stuff.

the bridge isn't the park specific ski. it bridges the gap between park, and all mountain. he wants a park ski. volkl makes the wall, which is a symmetrical ski, but it is expensive, and it would be a waste for someone who is not sure if they want to do park.

get some look px12's. Check around on NS for some, you can most likely pick up a pair for 75-100$. If you want suggestions on ski size, post your height, weight, and ability.

Look at the TroubleMakers, Invaders (a pure park ski)... what sort of park ski are you looking at? A park only ski or a twin which can hit the park and hold up all-mountain?
You need to get some good boots, too.

What are good boots? Those who're marketed as FS boots or those who fit your foot best?
Not saying your not right and a park specific boot will be best because of it's flex and heel dampening, but he said he got new boots last year, so I'm hoping he did got his boots the right way and got an "excellent" fit, no need in investing in a new pair this year is my opinion.
