Super Wide Angle Lens

im thinking of getting a .38x super wide angle lens.

does this have a lot of distortion?
a little distortion?
no distortion?

anyone have shots of anything similar?


also, do wide angle lenses have vignetting?

well my mx3000 is .3x which is bigger than that and its perfect, no black rings and it gives you a wicked wide viewing area. Also I have a .78 or something, which doesn't do much. Get that one

Wide angles generally aren't supposed to cause vignetting...but I have seen it happen on little handycams before.


I like them to be around .3 or .4 but with the least amount of fisheye distortion as possible; I don't mind wide angle distortion at all. In fact I kind of like it.
