Looking for a new ski

I want to get a new pair of skis for this season.  I'm 6'4", 225 lbs and rode 182 foils last season, and found them to be very good skis, didn't notice them being too soft at all.  What's a good pair of skis that are durable and have a decently stiff flex?  I would be riding mostly park, with maybe a week out west and the occasional ec pow day.  I want a ski that is stiff enough and can do it all, while still having good pop for my size.  Any suggestions for what skis i should be looking at?  I really liked the bluehouse MR's, but the reviews say that they are really soft, and the biggest size is a 179.  I like the idea of a wider ski (like 90+ waist), but also want something that will work well for park.

I'm 6'8 245 and roll on the Movement Gladiator. 183/193cm - 125-92-113. The 183 is a twin. Mid-range stiffness and they are AWESOME for me all mountain. Should check them out and demo from your local store...

Yea i here ya man. im like average so i can get pertty much anything i wan in the size and color i want it wolud suck to have to search super hard to find all my shit.

Must be nice! I finally found some pants that are long enough... regardless of price, had to pick em up. Sleeve length is a pain in the ass too. I'll be the guy with the pink jacket and neon green pants (jk)

that shit is in around here hahaha bright colors are the hot item...

ya may almost wanna look into pipe cleaners, there super stiff but they should flex for someone your size, the only problem is that there only good for like pipe and park, with the race base rails and shit really fuck em up quick... im on ARVs and there probably softer then you would want but they have a pretty wide waste and are 185 I also have a pair of 185 Salomon Pocket Rockets that i bought and havent mounted or used yet if you were intrested in those i may sell any one intrested PM me

yea im much lighter than you and i rode foils last year but...at camp this summer i demoed some k2's and once u ride a ski like the seths or watever or something stiffer you realize how soft foils are.

yeah, that exactly what i was thinking.  the foils were actually the first ski i ever rode because i boarded for 8 years before that.  I've never riden anything else so i really have no idea how it stacks up in terms of stiffness, because it felt pretty good riding it.  What about a pair of anthems?  i was just looking around and saw them and they really caught my attention.  I like the symmetrical design, wide waist, and it's a decent price too.

word, bridges look perfect in a 185 but i dunno how expensive they'll be, its like $600 msrp, and i can really only spend $400 max

A Scott Punisher in a 182 is a good all mountain ski, with a medium flex to it. The P3 wouldn't be bad either, but definitely more of a park ski. The Surface Watch Life is really stiff as well.

you should check out the fischer addicts. i had last years and loved them. i'm 6'2" 190 and i had the 181's they were perfect for me except i really had to throw my weight to butter with them so they might be perfect for you

The Line Chronic Blends 186 would be a good compromise for a big guy like you that is going to spend more time in the park than the rest of the mountain. If the all mountain/park ratio were switched, I would recommend the Prophet 100.

yeah. my friend whos 6'11" doesnt fit in most cars, even when he was 6'7" (at 13) it still was hard to find a car that fit comfortable.

may be a little soft because of the butter zones but they are pretty stiff, the only thing is the largest size they come in is a 178

chronics might be good. tthis years are a little wider and they are a stiffer ski. good pop. i think they come in a 182? but yea or maybe even the blends.

i like the anthems, only issue would be i would be center mounting a ski thats a bit short, which i have no problem with for park, but im not sure how well that would work on the rest of the mountain and in a bit of pow.  are blends worth the $450? i like that they're 186, and they seem like a dope ski.  I'm just debating whether or not its worth it to drop the extra money
