New bindings old ski dilemma/decision

the other day i shattered both my old salomon s12 bindings falling hard in snowpark. the problem is, those bindings were the second set of holes drilled. a third set of holes would almost certainly mean the end for my skis. my skis are hardly new anyway. my problem is, do i buy new bindings (i can get the 08 marker jesters) and wait for my skis to die, then use the markers on a new pair of skis? or, buy new salomon bindings that can use the same holes as my old ones, thus prolonging the skis life, but giving me a binding i dont 100% want. Newschoolers, i turn for you to help in my hour of need...
cheers

i suggest the markers. if your skis are near the end anyways, theres no hurt in taking bindings off of a dead ski and putting them on a new one. and bindings are pretty damn important so don't go buying some you don't want.

If you use helicoils on the mount you don't have to drill a third set of holes. Just epoxy the helicoils in and you would tear the ski apart before the binding ripped out.

problem solved i think. i just bought some recycle centre salomon bindings for 8NZD! gonna put them in the same holes as my old ones and just wait for the skis to die. apparently they're quite good old bindings. salomon 992's?

i recomend definitly not rolling with the sollys cause they arent very reliable
so i would get some looks and i woudnt worry too much about htem breaking because you should be able to mount 3 times
All times are Eastern (-5)
