Ripping songs off iTunes shared library

So I know there is a program to rip shared libraries to your hard drive on a pc (mytunes i believe). Question is...can this be done on a mac? Some guy in my dorm has an amazing collection i want to get a hold of, so any help would be awesome. Thanks!

yeah, mytunes redux doesnt work on newer itunes i dont think
