K to start off i ride no poles and i do it because i choose to...I rode no poles before everyone saw the Tom Walish video...people need to start doing what the fuck they want and not caring what the people on NS think like it goes back and forth ..Its gay ..its not ..its gay.. its not...like come on...The reason i rode no pole was because my poles got snagged one day and i just continued riding the rest of the day with out them and i personally had alot more fun because it was differnt and i liked how i could just tuck my hands into my sleeves ...i was like fuck poles .. so just do what YOU want...if you enjoy poles then keep em..if you want to try something new just ditch the poles for the day... its not going to kill you...and i have heard the comment NO poles inst skiing...like what the fuckk..people think o just because you dont have sticks in your hand it doesnt count...come on people need to stop caring so much on what other people like to do ,, its like if you want to be gangsta then be gangsta .......so to end the gay NO POLES threads DO WHATEVER THE FUCK YOU WANT.....Just please dont snowbladee..now thats lame!

Yup, if it doesn't matter, then don't listen to the hate and don't make a thread about it. No poles threads are right up there with Tanner hate threads as worst threads ever.

we dont go back and forth on the opinion of the issue.
its our opinion, we say what we want. any "Poles or No Poles" Thread, different people will give different opinions, it was fun to discuss at first, but now its over

no poles is so much fun on rails, but i don't personaly like it hitting kickers. but messing about on rails or even skiing seriously on rails is alot of fun without them.
no poles + up box + slow blind 2s out = funfunfun

skiing with poles or without....its still skiing, it is fun to ski with or with out poles but i dont completely disown poles.....every once in awhile me and my buds would just leave the poles at the the top of the park, its all fun.

I've never really tried no poles in park, but when im filming i don't use them and i just dont feel complete, you know? That, and, while im not proud of it, i did snowlerblade for a season, and didnt dig the lack of poles there either.
But hey, to each his own. Just think how many things we are doing today because thats the way things have "always been done." fuck tradition, history, whatever, be progressive, and just do what you feel like!

What kind?
Swiss is pretty damn good
Tilamook brand cheese is excellent usually.

well i like almost all cheese, but my favorite would have to be Gouda. and it's pronounced (gow-dah,) not goo like a silly frenchman, it's a dutch cheese, though technically it's a hard G, but i don't expect you to say that.

Word, dude, who cares about poles or no poles anyway, I ski with poles made out of cheese. Sharp cheddar is pretty legit. and when I used to get the munchies nothing beat parmessean. (sp?)

it kinda seems backwards...
Boarders have no poles and have to unstrap to push...
Skiers have poles, but don't really need them for catwalks...
Thats some twilight zone shit right there!

string cheese poles, though i like mozzarella over the parm, parm's a bit crumbly. my poles are actually giant pretzels which i dip into cheese at lunch.

reppin no poles can be pretty damn fun but i wouldnt wanna do it all the time - if your gonna be filming or taking photos id say stick w/ poles cause i think it makes the shot look alot better - there are exceptions tho like wallisch, also no poles is good for really tweaking grabs
