Buy the cheapest aluminum poles you can get. Aluminum is better than Carbon fiber because it bends before it breaks. Don't buy flashy new poles...all your buying is a brand name and paint. Anything cheap and aluminum will be a good purchase.

Go find some 60 dollar poles that are on sale for 30. THeyre better than the 20 dollar ones cause they don't bend as easy.

It has been said before, but I'll send it again: RENTAL POLES. They are free and you don't feel bad when you break them. End of story.

i would have to agree, just go to any local shop and take some, just browse thru them even if they're looking, make sure you dont have any of ur equip on and when they ask, just say u forgot to get poles with ur skis.
