New laptop/limewire

it is never worth having lime wire, just pay for your music or use beter sources, lime wires is a peice if shit

i'm trying to stay away from limewire, but i still use it if i need a song or two and can;t find them. it doesn't act as spyware for me if that is what you are worrying about.

i just put frostwire on my new laptop (frost wire is made from the same code as limewire so it's pretty much the same program, just diff name).

So my AVG Anti-Virus Free Edition (which is a great, free anti-virus program) scans my computer a day later and tells me that i have 4 trojans. i was pretty pissed off, it's ok now though i think.

lime wire has been my best friend for many years. no viruses/spyware/ or anything like that, although my com[uter runs a tiny tiny bit slower than it should withoutt it. it is definatly worth dowloading thousands and thousands of songs for free

Torrents are the way to go..I use BitLord as the actual torrent downloader and sites like mininova.org, torrentspy.com and isohunt.com.. there are all kinds of stuff. Solid quality too. Movies, music..whatever...

couple of my friends got in trouble using limwire. they had to pay like 2000 dollars for every song but one of them got off with a warning but its not safe to use. stick to torrents theyre better and safer

haha fuck that shit, i'm not paying for it, i live in canada, where i can't get in trouble for downloading music.  i use limewire, and i don't have problems (and i'm using windows).

yeah i agree ur right about the torrents but my friends originally did get charged 2000 a song but they settled for around 30,000 or so with the companies

just trust me. my bros friend luke got mail from hbo cause he was dowloading entourage epsiodes but he got off but one of my friends cousin also got busted for 50000. these things happen they just arent that big news

dude i think you might mean 5000 instead of 50,000 dollors. tthats a shitload of money, i even heard on the news that someone got caught but had to pay 5 dollors a song, and yeah it came out to almost 15 grand, so im pretty sure your dudes wouldve either been on the news or something.

don't completely turn it off, bad idea. you should be able to unblock programs from accessing the internet like limewire with your firewall settings.
