For good powder, you're going to want to find a sled that is lightweight, with a large track surface area. Those are the 2 things that are going to influence the flotation of the sled.
The new Rev Xp!!!!!!!!!!!Lightest, fastest most powerful mountain sled ever built. 435 pounds DRY!!! Fuck Polaris. Heavy as Shit bogging Machines...Skank doo or AC only
Ski Doo's ur gonna have to work on the clutching cuz they suck balls out of the box. The 05's and 06's were better than the 04's and 07's...Arctic Cats run pig rich down low and a bit lean out of the top and the secondary clutching is almost as bad as ski-doo's primary's. Depends on what year sled you want to buy. If your lookin earlier than an 05 sled go with a ski doo summit. Alot of people ride em and know how to fix em. The 02,03,04 polaris RMK's are good sleds but I would get a newer one if you want nothing but shredded belts and problems. The M-series Arctic Cats are good sleds...and the King Cats are good sleds too... Pm me if you have any questions before you make a decision
The only thing that you can do better with a rev is stuff a turbo on it for high altitudes, anti-detonation box, a better clutch, and 2 inch camoplast paddles.
on the trail yes, on the mountain no. Armada uses them because Yamaha and that company have a deal. AC sleds are light, but break like bad toilet paper. Yamaha have tyhe heavyest sleds on the market, and they are known for it. Maybe the old Viper mountain, but thats the only one.
Actaully Polaris made the LIGHTEST sleds last year. But Ski-doo has the best mountain sled by far ( they invented the first factory mountain sled with their first summit).
Brand loyalty in snowmobile kills me. Everyone thinks their make is better than all the rest...
With that said Arctic Cat is the best. From everyone Ive ridden with, the yami's are too heavy, the ski doo's are always fuckin with their clutchin and the rails bend like its there job. The polaris' bog on hill climbs and somehow me and Ponds3000 are never fuckin with our Arctic Cats. The great news is though, is that there are many followers to all brands which means none of the brands are goin anywhere, leaving something for everyone. After all, theirs is faster and stronger than all the rest right???
if the polaris is made after 03 it is a piece of shit-- Those red rmk's our the biggest POS's around.... Ask anybody who isn't 14 and actually knows something about sleds...... The RMKs look cool but the dragon is a way better Bile if your on team Poo.... i have heard stories of ppl burning belts putting there sled on the trailer with those shitty RMKS......
Ski doo is alright but they really fucked up last year.. And had over 10% of there sleds turn out to be lemons.. I could write a fucking paper on this topic............. AC has there issues but year after year they seem to have the least amount of fuck ups and the most dependable shit. There put together so well it is hard to get the parts off. I have seen more broken down Ski Doos then any other sled out there, and Poo comes in second (unless it is old)....
For FUCK SKATE PPL SKI DOO is made by a bunch of FROGGIES
yeah....its not like we canadians invented the snowmobile, or the first factory mountain sled, or is union made in canad, or is the most highly used mountain sled, or has the most snowcross victories of any brand out there.
Polaris is made by a bunch of copy cat americans, whose engines are shit. AC is a fragile suzuki, and yamaha is a heavy tank that will never ever be dug out if sunk. The only thing ski-doo has is their clutch, which was fixed for their new model REV platform. Throw a turbo on it, and your money.
And even then, the 07 clutch problems were a result of the manufacturer changing the specs and composition without telling Skidoo. They extended the warranty by a year and are replacing the clutches.
Also, how can skidoo's be that bad if they have the biggest market share in North America? They're like 55% market share in Canada.
The old Rotax 670 was bomber I will give you that-- I saw one roll over thirty times and then ghost ride down a gully and the shit was alright... The hood was done for- but nothing else was wrong.. It was fuckin sweet
I have respect for you Canadians for knowing whats up with ur ski doo's and there gnarly clutch problems. The rev platform is old as hell i think your referring to the XP... We will see.... AC was the first Company to actually put a sled out with a mountain chassis(m7).... Ski do0 was using the same chassis on there trail sleds as mountain sleds..... + i have seen more ski doo's overheat two manning then i can shake a stick at... YOU KNOW YOUR TECHNOLOGY IS INFERIOR TO OURS JUST LIKE YOUR DOCTORS.........
the m7 is the best mountain sled ever made.............. America FUCK YEAH!!!!!!!
