im getting a rib tattoo done..probably not for a while. does anyone know how painful it is? i dont know if i have a high tolerance for pain or what kind of pain i should expect at all..so should i get a smaller tattoo somewhere else first? im a big pussy.
but to the thread creator, just hope you have some meat on ya. my bony ass friend got one and said it was fuckin horrible and he already has a bunch of sleeve tattoos and everything
If this is your first tattoo, the ribs is definitely not an advisable location for your first tattoo, yes it will hurt like no other, very close to bone so it will hurt like a bitch. Get a smaller one somewhere else.
ya mine will be a bit bigger, from the hip bone to almost back of shoulder. i already waited a year and ill wait one more, im not rushing..its gonna happen though, so i guess either i inject alot of heroin or take the pain.
i think ill try to design one for a smaller location like behind the ear or thumb and get it in mid sept. just to see what im in for.
my brother just got a tatoo this summer on his upper ribs a couple inches below the armpit and the dude at the parlor told him the ribs are the worst because it is right on the bone but my brother said it wasnt that bad at all
i nhave heard that the closer the skin is to the bone, the more it hurts, so with that logic me thinks that it might hurt, pretty strtange place to get on isn't it
Whatever you do, make sure it isn't to small. Although it may seem logical to do a smal tat for your first, it simply does not look good. I'd say 3 X 3 at the least.
Also, what are you getting? I hope it's a rose, becaus enothing beats a rose tattoo.
I had my first right there, pretty painful but tolerant, the worst is that it takes longer there, you have to keep your arm up above your head, cool spot for a tat
