I'm looking for a pair of park skis and I need some suggestions. First off these skis will only be used for park, as I have a pair of skis for out of the park. I'm 5'10 and about 160 pounds. I will be using the skis for mostly jumps and the odd rail. I need a ski that is stable at high speeds. My home mountain doesn't have a pipe so I don't need the skis to excel in the pipe. If you have a ski to suggest, say why and not just post the name of some skis. Thanks.
I agree. In most cases fujatives hold up longer then invaders but the invaders are really fun. not that fujis aren't.
you can get them super cheap right now.
Scott p3 178. stable at speed, medium flex 16m radius. It has sandwich sidewall construction. I have done over 70 days on mine and they are in real good condition.
Anyways, I've been looking at the pipe cleaners for a while but they're are a little pricey. I've found a deal on a pair of 07 TM's /w bindings (px12) for $400 or should I wait and save till I can get the pipe cleaners?
Id go with Ar6's.
but if yur not going to be doin many rails. the pipe cleaner would be a good choice because the race base means you wont need to start from as far up. Stable at high speeds and got a good rating for park.
scratches would be a good ski. stable. a solid ski all around. if u wanted to step it up you could go for ast yeasr volkl karmas. SUPER stable ski and kills it everywhere.
That has got to be the biggest load of crap I have ever heard.
The race base is only as fast as the wax you use. Its more porus, so it holds more wax, hense, a faster ski. Granted, the base is a touch faster than the normal base Armada uses.
Rails really dont have anything to do with pipecleaners. Seeing how they have the same edges as the Ar6(2.5mm, I dont know why so many people say otherwise) so the durrability is par with the Ar6. The base is softer, but I know of many people who ride PC's on rails, and they do just fine.
