Moving down from a 28 shell to a 27. Salomon 1080 foil boot. What is the difference in sole length? Im worried about a remount, which I want to avoid for sure. I dont know how much smaller my bindings can adjust. I can fit into both a 27 shell or a 28 fine, 27 being slightly small and 28 being slightly big. Id rather go slightly small. help asap yo
yes yes i was guessing the salomon 28s are a 326 and 27s 315. Someone tell me if im correct? My bindings are mounted for 321. I havent downsized before like this but is it typically possible to go down 6 mm w/o a remount? I cant tell really just by looking at my bindings but there appears to be enough room? noteefa, u mounted them, get online mr egg!
good, go for it. and have you ever mounted your own skis before? if you're using the same bindings, you don't need a jig... just move the holes back or forwards accordingly. and it's pretty easy to see on the px12's, there should be a lil' window behind the heel piece that shows forwards pressure. when the bar goes forwards past the window when you click your boots in, your forward pressure is set, more or less. kinda hard to explain over the internet, but if it comes down to it, remounting isn't that hard.
