^Its one guy. And None Shall Pass is so good. I didn't really listen to bazooka tooth much. It just wasn't that appealing to me, but None Shall Pass is right up there with Labor Days. Its such a good album

Aesop uses all sorts of popular culture references for irony. Sometimes he changes them around, sometimes it's the way they interact with each other in a song. It is probably a Lord of the Rings refernce yes.
If you notice int eh song catacob kids, he uses "Knock em out the box ace, knock em' out ace... " repeating. This is a play on a Black Star song. Just another example.

I could be wrong but wouldn't LL Cool J have come out with Mama Said Knock You Out before the Blackstar album. I just figured they were both paying tribute to Ladies Love Cool Jay

or actually support an artist who deserves your money and buy the album

Aesop does not care if you download the song actually...
on his myspace he LETS you download the song. FOR FREE.
Ian (his REAL name) obviously does not care so much for the money, as he does about getting his message to the people... Which is totally legit, and very much part of the whole 'spoken word hip hop' genre...

which is why you should support him by buying his albums so he can keep spreading his lyrics everywhere
