Pretty sure its not a glacier... but my friend did it and he said it took about an hour 1/2 to hike out there from the lot and then 45ish min to hike the face depending on how high up you go

Yeah, No glacier.

I can't speak from personal experience, but I have heard it's around 2 hours give or take.

there's a tuckerman's website that has a lot of info about it i'd peep that if you're plannin on goin up there. just google tuckerman's ravine or somethin it should be obvious.

yeh i hiked it last year and it was about 2 hrs from the lot plus like 45 to the tipity top of tucks. but that was in snow

i did it 3 years ago. it took 2 hours to get to the top and 45 to hike the bowl.

well tucks would be a tough spot for a booter but if you find a sweetspot, i'd get some people and go with you. hells yeah for EC BC

just under 2hrs with 65lb packs from the parking lot to the bowl level, 45min - an hour from there to the ridge

yeah deffinatly not a half hour to the bowl it is like 4 miles up to it and be aware if the path isnt stomped out then it will be longer to hike up the ravine and dont even bother hiking up if the sun has already put the ravine in shadow because it will go bullett proof in like 10 min

a BC booter on tucks wouldnt be great, the only spot would be to nuild the kicker above the headwall and be landing in the bowl, wouldnt be great casue its choppy as shit.  maybe up in the snowfields higher there might be a good spot if snow stays this year.

haha, you mean airing over the headwall.  good luck, you'd get shut down pretty quick by the park ranger dude at the base of the bowl i'll tell you that much.  just enjoy the steeps and late season skiing up there.

I was up there 3 years ago for 4 days and its really hit or miss. We only got 2 ski 2 days and the other 2 it rained, but the 2 days we were out were super nice. There was a bunch of kids building a booter one day on hillmans highway, but they didn't get too far. They gave up b4 they finished it. The snow was pretty nice that day...it would have been nice 2 see if it worked out. But I would deff. suggest to go in spring.

tuck's has a glacier??? umm the hike trail is about 2hr. and to hike to the top of the headwall, hike the right gully then hike across, it takes 45min-1hr., but you prob wanna bring a small bag then to clip your skis with, because otherwise you have to hold them while you hike

i also really depends on the conditions. when i went up in march there was snow all the way to the parking lot so we took insteps and it was good. id say around 2 hrs is good. theres a lot of traffic on the trail to which is a bitch. but its worth it you get some good turns in. im guessuing you havent been up before.. so dont expect powder its far from that

oh yea and you can only go in the spring because the snow is really dense so its like ice in the shade then the sun will hit it and soften it up. when i went it was 55 degrees in the bowl.

well, there is the little headwall. its not as steep but usually has traffic on it. also sherburne trail, its not real wide but about half way down theres still snow, and some big S-curves in the trail. you could probably build something on the side of the trail there and hike it. you def have to plan this trip carefully, i've hiked up multiple times, either too early or too late, and not been able to hit the headwall. hopefully this year will be the year.
