I'm 5'6, and I'm going to ride 180's. I'm not so sure about 188s, but if your a strong skier, you shouold be able to pull it off. Good skiers can ski just about anything.
Is it possible to demo a 188 JPvJuliens before you buy??

Well you could do it, just a smaller pair may be a bit more comfortable a ride.

height isnt really a very signifigant factor in determining what length of ski someone should use. weight and ability are the most important.

i think weight nad height factor in equally, your height has alot to do with leverage.
