Decent mtns near erie PA

I know erie prob get a shit load of snow due to lake effects but were is there to go to ski. AsI remember it the terrain is pretty flat.

Elk is about 6 hours from Erie. Seven springs, Denton, or Peak N Peak (sp) are the closest.

seven springs is kinda far and we dont get the lake effect from erie...


holiday valley is your best bet!

and kissing bridge and tamarack are smaller ones.... never been to them but ive driven past on my way to holiday valley

7 springs doesnt get the lake effect at all.

For Lake Effect snow your best bets are Holiday Valley in Ellicottville, NY. They average around 180 inches of snow a winter.

I ski at Kissing Bridge, which is in Glenwood, NY, closer to Buffalo, and it's a much smaller place. All slow lifts, decent park once they get it up though. It's cheap there too. We still get around 180 inches an average winter as well.
