i have heard of this but is there a way to make your boots a bit bigger cause i just put mine on and i have had them for 3 years and i want to use them again this year any advice would it be possible to get an insole thats thiner and longer than mine now just to give me a bit more room i realy need to know thanks for the help
custom insoles, like surefeet, do not work unless you have a high arch. i have a very low arch, and they made my feet much worse.
you can heat the boots up and punch them out where needed, or put little lifters under the sole to alleviate pressure and move your foot to a place of lesser pressure.
i would definitly go see a boot fitter though, that would be your best and smartest bet
I am not talking about pre-formed insoles. I am talking about custom insoles they start flat and are molded to you foot shape, they are then able to provide support to your foot and keep it from being flattened by the boot, which spreads your foot out making a bigger footprint.
this all depends on where the pressure is on the foot. right now, how old are you and how old were you when you bought the boots? have you had any injuries to your feet since you got those boots?
i personally would recomend getting new boots. if you ski a fair bit (ie every weekend) and you ski quite hard, it may be time to get new boots anyway. depending on how much work needs to be done, this could be a pricey venture. this way you get new boots and if you deal with any decent shop they will include bootfitting services free of charge if you buy the boots from them.
get thiner socks...if you allready have thin socks try stockings, that works pretty well
if that still doesnt work... take your boots to your local shop... if the plastic on the boot is thick enough you can grind them out. that should give you an extra 3mm each side.
pressure is from the begining of my toes to my toes im 14 got them when i was 11 my foot was a size 10 then its a 12 1/2 to 13 now the boots are 28.5 or size 10.5 american shoes i ski very hard no injuries
Your boot size seems about right. you bought them wayy to big. Boot should be tight. However, a good shop should be able to punch them out to make them bigger.
