okei heres the deal. we have and retarded ski communti, and noone can make jumps.. so i wondered if you guys could help us.. is it any pictures the shows you how a jump really should be.. ? thanks for all answers i really need it.. : ยง
tabletop.. or more like an kicker. on flat almost like stepdown. but jeah anything. we have ALOT of places we can build... but we dont have enough money to drive the cats 24/7 :S
basically look at the terrain and decide wat type of jump you want to build... whether it be a long lofty with little kick, or a shorter but higher amplitude one...
it basically works on the basics of physics which by the way i have never done... the the steeper the take off, the higher you will go but you will travel a shorter distence.
the best park jumps are usually curved so they slope gradually with a bit of kick at the end. its pretty much about finding a happy medium of height and lenght. its pretty hard to perfect it straight out..you need to constantly re-shape
the 1st alpine jump looks good.
the tranny for the jump should start lower then the knuckle of the landing. like a deep tranny in the jump makes it so much smoother. then a long steeper landing makes the jump that much safer.
its really not that hard, i dont see why so many resorts have problems shaping decent hits.
dude i had one like that in my backyard this winter. it was pretty good for practicing tricks during the week since my mountain closes right as school gets out.
