ITunes won't let me download music?

It keeps saying that there is no internet connection when I try to download a song...I can navigate through the iTunes store and Im obviously on the internet right now...but why does it keep saying I dont have a connection?
Has this happened to anybody else?

Try restarting your comp maybe, I've never had that problem before though so I really have no clue

I choose to support semi-independant artists instead of steal their music just because I have an internet connection.
