Need help to find out if claimer is telling truth

Ok, so I was at a party at the U of U a couple weeks ago and I started talking with this guy. He told me he's good friends with Rob from Rob and Big, and that he went to school with him like 10 years ago (this guy told me he was 28). This dude, told me Rob was a good snowboarder and he comes up sometimes to ride with him, and that Rob hooks him up with free DC gear and that when I move up to the U he will hook me up (I hope to God it's true, but I know it's not). So anyways by the way I was dressed he figured that I was a snowboarder and started name dropping like crazy, that he got to ride with Shaun White, and these other pro riders. Well anyways he said that Shaun White gave him a shout out at either the olympics or xgames, I forgot which one he said. So my question is does anyone remember Shaun White giving a shout out to "Mark Wakefield"?(I'm pretty sure that's his name) I'm going to search the internet and try looking for a video. But I'm pretty sure he was bullshit.

He said it was because he was in the army, he said Shaun said something along the lines of thanks to all the soldiers like mark wakefield or something, I dunno I just fucking wanna know if he's telling the truth. I just texted a friend who's in the same frat as this guy, and said he was telling the truth, but seriously fuck I have such a hard time believing this.

why would a 18 year old be in a frat and partying with younger kids. and thats coming from a kid that should be a senior and is a freshman. i don't see anyone more than a year older than me at college parties....in fact the only good thing about it is taking girl there getting them drunk and leaving. i'd hardly be talking to some skier kid about how tight my snowboard affiliates are. sounds like he's not telling the truth.
