yeeeeaaaaa...those z71's are sweet. i wanna test drive a z85. and i mean test drive. hahaha. for the size of the ridgeline they don't get any better gas mileage than my 1500 extended cab v8.
so you're bragging that your dad's 1 year old ridgeline hasn't had any problems in the first year? My '01 Tacoma has 128,000miles and hasn't been in the shop once. Now that's something to brag about. Ridgelines are fake trucks. Junk, pure junk.
Finally, someone else with some sensibility. Toyotas are fucking tanks and run forever, enough said. If you want to get your Ridgeline, do it. But just know that they are so many better options out there.
Personally i think that the avalanches and ridgelines are pointlless like really what are you gonna put in a 4ft box ? you may as well buy a 4 door truck if you want the room in the back or an SUV
i've got a '94 toyota pickup. i don't even know if it has a name (the owner's manual just says "truck" haha). but it has 183k miles on it, and its still on the original clutch, and i've had absolutely NO problems with it. it still runs (and looks - not a spot of rust / paint isn't faded / etc) absolutely beautifully.
also, it has on-demand 4WD or w/e, and i have yet to get it stuck. granted i'm not going mudding and stuff, but i've taken it in my friends fields a few times, and i've never gotten stuck in the winter.
this thread reminds me of the top gear episode where they tested an old toyota pickup to see exactly how much of a beating it could take. they dropped a camper trailer on it, drove it through a small house, put it on top of a large building and demolished the building, had it dragged out to sea by the tide, and some other tests. yes it survived everything fine. a toyota truck will be my next vehicle probably. or in 4 years when i'm done with school, i'm buyin a '05 bmw m5, depending on the prices then.
