Guys please don't abuse this feature. Paul, CKO & Doug are trusting you guys to not take advantage of the system. If the system is abused it will undoubtedly revoked. There is already a lot of doubt being cast towards the idea (I think its a really bad idea) and if there is a bunch of people that start changing their names every month and whatnot the feature will be revoked. We are keeping tabs on everyone with a sweet new feature that Paul put into effect.
Also, soon, all members will be able to view all of a member's previous user names in their profile.

It'd be better if it listed them automatically within their signature though.

After looking at what people have done, I think people will realize that changing their names every month will get out of control. I know that when I changed my name to Jeff. for 2 days I hated it. I think that its an "impulse" type thing. People are like, oh wow we can change our names, lets do it. But it is just a fad. That is my 2 cents.

What we should have are tickets to allow you to change your name. Everyone starts out with one ticket. Every year you're a member, you get another one. Mods also get the powers to allow extra name tickets. Every month is chaos.

Man, when I first signed up for NS back in the day, I think my name was need2ski69, based around a drunken night with some buddies making up AIM screen names and harassing teenage prima-donnas from our school. Changed it once to Bangor, I think Harvey actually did it for me, and it's been that way ever since. Probably a good idea to think about your SN for a little bit...... RonJEREMYBigWANG might be a funny screen name for a little bit, but.......... well yeah that crap gets old.
