you can use astroturf with either that snowgel stuff or u can just use water and dishsoap. make sure the carpet is wet and you should be good. u should be able to find other threads about this in the cult too.

We use house siding on ours works like a charm. You might have to get it wet but it works great with and without snow.

The question was how well astroturf and snowfence work, but what is snowgel? Any links? The house siding is also a good idea.

Nevermind, found out about snowgel. How much of it do you need? I want it for from about late Nov. to April? How much would I have to buy and how long does it last??

^why cant you just use snow from late november-april? snowgel, astroturf and snow fence are more for summer months when snow isnt really available. i mean obviously you can use them in the winter but it doesnt really make sense.

my county only averages like 4 or 5 inches per snow a year. thats like 1 or 2 days a year where it actually snows and not just like a flurry

I'm really confused on what people mean by 'indoor/outdoor' carpet.

I bought this stuff that looks like grass basically, really short. It didn't really slide too well, but that was on ground. Anyway I have a drop in setup now and I'm not sure what to put on top.

My homo depot has 2 indoor carpets, needle punch, and that fake grass stuff i mentioned.

It seems to me the needlepunch would slide way better, but what should i actually be using? (The needle punch one, the groves/threading go the long way, so I'll be going with them, not against them.
