Buying laptop, need help, adobe...

ok, i need to get a laptop for school soon, and i really wnat to put adobe premire on it, not sure sure which one, but either way its prob all gonna need the same requirements, so i need to know what everyone else has for their laptops and desktops. how much RAM< hard drive, what speed their hard drive runs at, what processor, what opersting system, etc. any information/recomendations will be appreciated. thanks

well, i was thinkng that XP would be better, seeing as how it takes up less RAM to operate, but everthing im looking at all comes with Vista pre-installed. i wouldnt mind vist, just as long as everthing runs ok. and price is a key issue here. i know i need to pay for preformance, but tuition isnt cheap. and i looked into macs/ final cut, but i think that may be a little on the pricey side when i pay for everything..yea

get an external hard drive if your editing stuff cuz it takes up alot of room

i wish i had money for a sweet computer. i'm jealous. i jsut got a dell E1505....it's ok. nothing special...already starting to get slow and i store everything on an external hd......fucking dell.
