1st 03'-04' Freeze issue cover story..

yah the first issue is gonna have a cover story on like 9 ski companies, and the 9 most influential riders for each company... they did a shoot in whistler in June of a bunch of the guys sitten on a snowcat or some shit... but, I dont like how they do that, how they choose most influential riders, thats way to controversial i think.. any opinions

Actually I think that judging 'most influential' riders is okay to do, especially if it's done by their peers. Trying to say who's the 'best' rider is different, but I think for the most part it's obvious amongst pro skiers as to who is really influential amongst them.

seth morrsion bites the big one. he doesnt fuckin ski technical lines. all he does is huck him self over huge fuckin cliffs and hopes he lands. all he does is backflip frogs and rodeos

ummm no. seth skis lines, he is a super solid big mnountain skier and probably would be popular just for that but he is throwing tricks off cliffs and incorporating it into lines.

word, seth kicks ass, he's incorporating park tricks like rodeo 7's into his big mountain lines, there are only a couple people doing that now and that's one of the ways i see skiing going in the future....

hey hey hey, let me just settle this once for all. Bristolrider is just mad because he recently found that riding outside the park on the steeps is hard and he's insecure so he disses the skier who has more talent in his right index finger than any of us do on here.

i thought the mag was gonna have parkasaurus...i'm pretty sure that is what they do right? because nothing happens over the summer so they put on an event they can use in their mag for the months where nothing happened. And anyway didn't they just have their last or somethings issue that had the 10 most influencial riders already? and they just interviewed people and candide was like 'i got a car' and philou was like 'i can kick some ass' and tanner was like 'MFM is my bro'

they also just moved locations so they are actually working with TWSNOW and shit, so do expect bigger better issues this year. Anywho somebody shoot bristolrider

Seth is dope, but you gotta admit. The sport of skiing is headed MOSTLY (not entirely) towards park. The guys that ski mostly park but can rip the back country are the best skiers. If the kids that ski park only did backcountry I think they would excel faster than Seth. Don't get me wrong Im not dissin Seth he is still super dope and a leader in skiing!

The sport isn't heading towards park, it will be all about huge BC booters and rails. That's all you will see in the movies anyway, take a look at snowboard movies from last year. Ski movies will look like that in 1 or 2 years from now.

Actually, the photo shoot everyone is discussing was not for a FREEZE cover. It's for the opening spread of our Buyer's Guide, which will be in the November issue. We weren't trying to claim anyone as the most influential anything; we just wanted pro skiers, holding the newest gear for 03/04. The featured skiers are who we could line up, in order to represent all the ski manufacturers.

Now, if we can just figure out how our cover got there.......
