the cpu or whatever its called that spins in a computer (not a CD ROM drive) is spinning like really fast and making some weird grinding noise occasionally, wtf is going on

mine actually did one time. like i heard this popping noise and i saw this red glow for about a second then smoke came out of it and then the screen went all fuzzy for a second then it shut off. needless to say i got a new one.

hahahaha my laptop is the most ghetto thing in the world, its an OLD mac laptop, and the hinges are broken, so we use ducttape to hold it together and string to keep the screen from falling backwards.

check the fans inside, one of the clips on the fan might be broken...my dad broke one on mine so its un balanced and wen it starts spinning fast it makes a very loud noise. that might be ur case
