Replying to In response to site naviagation concerns
I have two ideas.
First, what if the quick links, seeing as they are somewhat redundant until you get into say, forums, you put everything on them?
The Site
-home
-news
-gear
-history
-help
-FAQ
-register
-contact NS
The stuff I put in italics would only come up if you clicked on The Site to save space.
If you had another set of subcatagories, they could do the same thing.
Interact
-Forums
ski gabber
non ski gabber
site discussion
So you would only see the same stuff as you see at the top now, but you could get to anything without loading a new page.
My other idea is to do the same thing with the drop downs, leaving quick links as is. I think this is the better option.
So you would roll your cursor over Interact, and the usual would come up. Next you go over to forums, and another set of catagories appears underneath, with the different forums.
It would work almost the same as the first idea but it would use the current drop down menus. Its a system I've seen on many other sites, I will try to get an example shortly. In the mean time, discuss this and other ideas to make it easier to get from home to nsg without loading that extra page.
