I'm a binding noob.

I have NO CLUE when it comes to bindings. I couldn't tell you the difference between a crap binding and a good binding (besides the price). So I am turning to you guys for help:

I recently bought a pair 06/07 175 ARV's. I live in MA and ski on the east coast all the time (unfortunate, I know). I'm thinking about either mounting them -2 or -1, because I will be doing a lot of park with them but I also want to go shred the rest of the mountain.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, and if you have any more questions about me or what conditions I ski on don't hesitate to ask.

You cant go wrong with the look px12, axial 120.

how tall and and how much do u weigh? cause u dont want a bindings with too high or too low of din

bindings are not complicated you put your foot in it and you push on it it will close. when your done skiing for day you press on the back of the binder

cool man, thanks alot..I'll definitely look into those because I'm a senior in HS and I want this setup to last me through college because I won't be able to ski as much

ehhh, maybe some race-stocks? FKS 120's? They would last, a very long time.

personally, im mounting my powder ski at true centre, and my park ski at plus 3 cm of true centre. Its pretty much preference.

But -1 will hardly be noticable, i would go -2cm from true. Seems like a great spot for everything

4frnt 412's. They are bomber. Plus in my opinon.. they are a more reliable than PX's. I had massive pre-release problems with PX's.

i wouldnt take this advice, Head makes some solid bindings so do Salomon you just need to know which ones. however as mentioned above you cant go wrong with a pair of Look PX12's

bump....4 months later, and I still have no clue what I'm doing, haha.

What is the difference between the PX12's and the PX12's with a lifter?

Also, would they come with an approximately 95 mm brake, or would I have to buy those separate?

the differences between the px seriers is the lifter has lifters. those can be mounted w/o them, just make sure the shop grinds down the screws a bit. the jib have a little stomp pad that is spossed to dampen vibrations. the TIs are titanium and are sopposed to be lighter than the normal ones.

unless you go with the scratch 120, they are the rossi equvilant to the px12 jib, those come with the wide brake, as do some of the look jibs. otherwise you will have to probably scoop up a pair from your shop or onlibne.
