My job sucks

I work at a supermarket, and today was just one of those days. Someone ran out without paying like 100 dollars worth of groceries and evryone made fun of me, like h"ow did they manage to get away" "maybe you should have jumped on him, he probably would have liked that" and all this mean stuff, im also extremely weak, and i cannot lift cases of water, and i always get made fun of. and i had all these live lobsters i had to ring through today and there legs were like sticking out of the bag, so basically no one at my job takes me seriously and thinks im a huge slutty ditz which im not at all. its just annoying. sorry i just needed to vent

I work at a supermarket and lately customers have been trying to flip-con girls.  They pay with a $100 for a pepsi and take it back pay with a  $50 and then confuse the girl till they give him $100 extra in change.  I dont understand how you fall for it but so far 2 girls have just given away $100 for a pepsi

when i was 14 we didn't have anyone to get us booze so we would go in with two shopping carts. then one kid would go to get some paper bags. we'd line the carts with paper bags and put a shitload of booze in the bottoms of everyone. then we'd fill the tops with all the snack food we wanted and just walk out. it worked 4 times....then they caught us. we should've switched stores, we were stupid.

you guys are right, doing the whole online thing would be lame, im just going to see how it goes for a while, but i think if i tell the manager, they will still be like " aww poor baby doesn't like being teased, im going to go tell our boss."

i work at an outdoor store and sell sleeping bags and talk to people about what kind of trips they will be doing all day. The key is to think of your interests, and try to find an entry level job in that area. For example for me, i like skiing, running, and outdoors stuff. So, I applied to some local running stores and this huge outdoor store campmor. I didn't get the running jobs just because htey didn't really have any openings, but now i work at campmor and talk about something i htink is cool all day. Can't really beat it. I mean the pay is only 8 bucks an hour, but i dont expect to make millions this summer haha. Nobody is actually interested by grocery stores. Just find something you like and try to get a job with it. Thats how i alwyas look at it.

Same exact thing happened to us, except we wouldn't bother with the snack food. We'd have someone stand at the entrance door so that we could get out without being seen.

I didn't go on the last run but my friend and this dude he was stealing the booze with got caught because some old woman took down the liscence plate number. The cops were waiting for him at the house but luckily they stashed the booze in the park so I went to scoop it. Only the dude who drove got busted and charged, my friend did not. I'm just glad I told them I couldn't do the run that day. We must have stolen over 2 grand worth of booze from all our runs.

Ouch. I work at the deli in my local supermarket. The job itself is shit, $8 an hr and i close, so I work from 2-11 3-4 days a week, but I love my coworkers. They are hilarious and have great stories to tell. Some customers are cool, like this old little german lady who always gets olive loaf and bavarian head cheese, she reminds me of my grandma, but others are super picky and want you to open a whole new package of turkey or ham or whatever meat they want, just to sample it and then walk away without even saying thank you. And I swear I'm gonna slap the next person who pronounces provelone proveloNEE.

Some lady came in the other day and wanted 6 lbs of turkey, 4 lbs of ham, and 3 lbs of roast beef. It fucking sucked slicing all that.

You don't know me, and saying I have no self esteem isn't fair because you have never met me, so you have nothing to base that judgement on. Luckily, I don't give a fuck if you don't like me, I'm fine with that, but the fact that you came in here, and posted like you knew everything about the entire situation when you don't. alrite, so stop being a fucking pain in the ass and posting in threads starting to cause trouble. Also, maybe you should learn how to spell, "pathedic" is spelled P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C, just for your future, so you don't look like an idiot again, see I'm just a nice person, teaching you how to spell

to everyone bitching about their jobs: do something about it! if you really want a better job, you can find one. you just have to know where to look.

try a city or government job. they are always hiring, and pay really well.

I'm 18 and I bartend. I love NYS laws. I get 4.20 an hour, but from tips, in a week I usually make over a thousand.

haha, i teach 4 year olds too, thats my winter job. and yes, you get better at skiing switch, especially during breaks when you take a whole run switch, which at my mountain, is 200 feet long and 100 feet vertical

I work from 6:30am-5:30pm in a body-shop detailing cars, taking out trash, sweeping, watering plants, taking out trash again, detailing some cars. The job is kind of hard but it's good hours for a 17 year old, getting 50 hour paychecks kicks ass, and the guys here are chill.
