I'm going to be purchasing a 24P camera in the next few days, and I need some opinions. Obviously I'm not going to buy strictly on what you guys say, but some of you really know what you're talking about. I'm basically going between two camera's, the Canon XL2 and the Panasonic DVX100A. We're going to be using it for filming for our business which is filming dance routines or pretty much any organized sport. I'm not sure whether the XL2 is worth the extra money or not. I've used the DVX, and I liked it alot. I'm also taking into consideration what the camera looks like. I heard it's much easier to get clients with the XL2 since it's so darn impressive. So just throw out some opinions on my problem. Thanks
I think they are both killer cameras and you couldn't go wrong with ethier.
If I was shooting anything other than skiing I'd go with the XL2. The interchangeable lens system seems like it has so much to offer. Plus the XL2 has more effective pixels and non squeeze 16x9. Only drawback is that it doesn't have an LCD if that matters to you.
don't even think you're actually going to buy a bunch of interchangeable lens' for dance recitals. Buy a gl2 and spend the rest on the money on drugz. 24p isn't that great for high school sports anyway.
