So... i dont know why im coming to ns for this but i have a huge..i mean huge, protruding lump on my fuckin forehead right above my eyebrow. it hurts reallly realllllly bad and you can see it sticking out if you look at my face from the side. WTF is it? my dad cant seem to figure it out and i want it gone! what the hell should i do?
dragonflies don't bite. only if you grab them and they are biting to get away. i would do the same thing though.
anyway...it might be a boil. or just an abscess.
excuse me i meant horsefly bite. anyway i think thats what i had twice. one on the backside of my leg opposite of my knee, and one on my ankle. both times they got swollen, and noth times i couldn't walk without pain for a day.
you can get steroid cream that fixes all sorts skin problems like rahses etc, it also works for insect bites. you can also use antihistimine if it is an insect bite to stop the swelling. You could always try poping it if nothing else works
most likely an ingrown zit, aka a blackhead/zit thats deep below the skin, its larger than a zit and doesnt look like one. hurts on contact and goes away in about a week.
um.. but most likely it is a bite. Can you describe it a little better? Like is it hard or squishy to the touch. Whats the surface texture of the lump. Details on the coloration would be helpful too. And it's a constant like throbbing pain? Or is it more of a sharp pain. That increases when you apply any pressure to it.
its hard to the touch and has no color or redness. it doesnt come to a point like a zit does and its like a throbbing pain lol. i put an ice pack on it for like 20 minutes and it helped with the pain but its still there.
Yeah I'm calling spider bite on this one. The best thing you can do it to avoid rubbing it, and maybe apply some ice to reduce the pain if it seems to help. Definitely get on the phone with a physician. And hopefully you live in Canada or at least have a semi-decent HMO and won't have to get a referral to see a dermatologist.
I'll straight up warn you though. If it's not reducing in size after a few days... he may decide to lance it.
i tihnk i have had sometihng liek this a few times on my forehead, they hurt sooo bad, its like a boil i tihnk, not a zit, put some hott substances on it, and just dont try to pop it, eventually it will form into a zit it hink and then u can pop it
