Im trying to find a ski for this year that is good in the park and can still be good on the rare powder day (cause i live on the east coast). Ive narrowed my choices down to the surface watch life, last years karmas, or the scott puisher. Im 6' 185lbs expert skier and i ski 60% park 40% all mountain. Any input or suggestions would be great or if you got nothing better to do read this and post whatever the hell you want.
For you... i would say Karmas or Scratch BC... im an east coaster too... i have scratch bcs and love them... and i know a bunch of kids on karmas and the all rave about them
try and find some of line's pro series from 04-05. pollards, skogens or mike nicks.. they had them in 186 (at least pollards), basically same ski as the chronic wide
^ I think that would be a very good fit. The Scratch FS WRS is a good ski for everything (except for SERIOUS pow)... and come be found for a good price ($299).
I'm pretty much identical to you (6'1" 185 lbs) and I've been asking around as well...my top two right now are
181 FS WRS
181 Mojo 80
Anyone know how the Karma compares to these two in the park?
I'd like to take a look at the Karma, but I'm trying to stay under $300 - not sure how much you're looking to spend
If you're looking for longer than 181 - like others have said, the Scratch BC (not sure if it's similar in durability to FS WRS?) or maybe even the Mojo 90...though from what I gather, the Mojo is going to be more of an all mountain ski - as it's not very flexible and has some weight to it...but for larger skiers, I guess that becomes less of an issue.
i have always thought that salomon skis where solid skis i like how they ride for sure i wouldnt really use them for just park but all mountain ya theyed be pretty sweet
