Generic time lapse?

so i want to put some time lapses in a bike movie i'm working on. they'll be at the beginning of it, i was thinking some traffic scenes. would it look better done at night? what's something else i could do?

do you need to have a camera that can do time lapses or to you just film for awhile and then speed it up when you edit it?

i dont know, but a tide rising and leaving, boats in a peir, people in a subway (may be tough not to loose your camera) a carnival, camera mounted to the back of a car facing forward would look cool,

i like those, can't do the tides or boats but i'll do the train one. i wasn't going to leave my camera i only need like 30 min tops so i'll just sit there and listen to music

if you're feeling REALLY artsy. do a timelaps of a flower following the sun. it takes hours but you can probably do it in your own back yard!

can't do anything like that cuz my camera can't do time lapses and i don't have room for like 8 hours of footy on my computer

if you have a bus station, set up ur tripod and film busses coming in and out, all at sunset. trust me.
