I cant quote people

i cant quote anybody, ive tried like 10 times now and it says: the text you are trying to quote doesn't exist in the originating post. but it does exist and im not changing their post or anything. i dont understand it.

i've had that happen sometimes. what i think happens is you accidently put a space in the persons quote or add something. like sometimes i delete stuff to highlight something a person said and accidently put a space in and that happens. what i do to test for spaces is to highlight everything in the quote box. and there shouldn't be extra blue highlight after the last letter of the quote

yeah its really annoying sometimes, sometimes it never lets me do it even if i log in and out and shit so i just use arrows or name or whatever. its weird though cause if it happens in a thread it wont let you post regularly in it either, it will automatically try to quote again.

it happens to me sometimes too. I will just push reply, and it will bring me to a quote, and when I try and post, it says that the quoted text wasn't said.

I just leave the thread and try again, usually works the second time
