Should i start smoking weed?

i have been debating this for a while and i read the thread about how its not that bad but i still dont know i have only drank a few times but other then that i am pretty straigh edge if you have good/bad experinces with weed please share and i have been ofered it a few times.

its worth a try for sure, but don't make it your life. that shit messed mine up for a while. i smoked for 5 years, 14- 19. i used to smoke an 8th between a day or two towards the end. i quit cold turkey cuz i felt so fucking dumb. i couldn't think at all. i haven't smoked for about year and 1/2 and it's nice man. i get a shitload more pussy too. i have smoked a rip from time to time (probably 5 rips in the past year 1/2) and i got fucking high as hell and had to watch a movie or play a video game cuz i couldn't handle just sitting there. my legs would like shake and shit, haha. its amazing how intense weed is when you're not doing it all the time. i can't believe i could sit and smoke a half 8th in a joint and be alright afterward. now a days i'd be shakin from being so fucking high man, probably throw up or some shit. gotta love booze though, nothing like getting a nice buzz from some beers.

How old are you? It's so easy to get your hands on it in Canada (especially the Lower Mainland), but I'm not sure about Comox Valley where you live.

Here's my honest opinion....


If you really had to ask a bunch of people you don't even know ,across the internet, if you should, then that tells me that you're aren't mature enough to. People may tell you "NOOBZ! it's not bad for you at all!" but the problem is that if you're not mature enough and responsible enough, it can be a huge gateway drug to other things that are really bad for you. From the looks of it, I say that you're not mature enough yet, and don't take that as an insult, because it's not. Wait until you can make a responsible and informed decision on you own. Nobody can tell you when you're mature enough but you. Don't rush it.

Dont do it if you have an addictive personality or dont really do anything besides video games and chilling, because you'll find that weed will occupy all your time. If your someone who knows how to use moderation and you dont find yourself bored all the time, its amazing. I used to regularly smoke once every 2 weeks, so you stay green enough for it to be sick every time, now I just do it when I have the opprotunity. I really enjoy it, I suggest you start out with another green friend as well.

only do it if you really want to, i do it to get creative and ill take a hit or 2 before i go out somewhere cause it relaxes me, and ill get random stomache aches and it makes them go away, also i do alot of physical labor, a couple hits keeps me not tired, its nice.

i would say no, because you are asking us if you should. it is your own fucking decision man, why ask us? like someone else said you dont sound mature enough and if you arent you can end up doing it every day and getting into worse shit. weed is a lot of fun i used to smoke a good bit of it, but quit after 4/20. its nice, you have money get more bitches and you dont really need it. do whatever you want. i suggest something along the lines of crack. disregard that last sentence and your set.

if you want too, its not really any different then deciding if you want to start drinking, if you smoke that doesnt meen you turn into a full on pot head. At my school there isnt really that much kids that dont smoke except the select few and the kids in trouble. Even all the girls do it, so dont think its a huge step weed isnt that intense.

yeah most ppl i know that do it are fine but i had a roommate last year that HAD t osmoke everyday. If he didn't he'd act all depressed and spend all his time calling people for some and complaining. and all he did was watch tv and play video games for the most part too. kinda got annoying

ive always wanted to try it and see how it felt and if it really is as good as people say it is. im not doing any sports this fall either, but then again i know its bad for you so i really dont know. im also super straight edge. i dont smoke or drink. but i can see myself a few years from now or wen i get into college im gonna start smoking weed. i find drinking pointless though.

I agree with this guy. Defiinatley the most legit answer here. Try it to see if it's something you enjoy. But don't let it get to the point of being able to smoke 3 joints, and have the ability to smoke more. The high is just not as enjoyable when you smoke all the time. You feel like shit, you can't think straight, and you probably look like a goob.

I don't recommend starting.
It's a great feeling, but after I'd experienced such a feeling being sober wasn't as much fun anymore. I've been clean for a month or so now, maybe a little more. It's not that hard to quit, but once you do you will get cravings, and it's no fun the first week or so.
I have a super-addicting personality though, so that might be a problem you may not have.

I've been smoking since the 8th grade. Its fine as long as you don't center your life around it, many people I know have and in the process wasted a good deal of money. Nowadays I smoke very occasionally and only when I'm smoked out by someone else. I used to smoke almost everyday so its a been there, done that kind of a thing for me. You don't have to "start" smoking weed but there's no reason why you shouldn't just try it and make the decision as to whether or not you want to continue smoking. Skiing while high is amazing though, even though I ski worse when I'm high so I don't do it all that often, only with a group of the amigos.

I understand where you are coming from though, because I'm debating the same thing with coke at the moment.
