whenever i put cool die cuts on my skis they mostly wear off or get pretty cut up after a day or two of riding - any tips for applying stickers so they wont wear off as easily ive seen ppl have it work on their skis so just wondering if they did nything special
i dont know maybe its something about the shape but i was amazed that mine didnt tear. i usually shred my die cuts in a couple hours, these held up....
ik its sounds stupid but take a lighter and run it around the edges it will keep them from peeling, as for the chipping idk what to do cause mine chip like crazy too
i wouldnt use the clear coat simply cause it will add a little weight, but just put the stickers in places where your skis wont scratch them off when you cross for a grab and not on the tip or tail cause the snow shoots up those when u ski. pretty much keep it simple and youll just have to redo the stickers a few times a year if you really want them there... behind the binding has been the best spot ive had one stay on
IF U WANT STICKERS TO STICK WHITOUT DOIN SOMETHING ELSE OR HAVE TO BUY SOMETHING.
first, check your ski for dirt and stuff, and if the surface is "bumpy" or something try to scrape it away. sorry my english.
so when your gonna set your sticker on the ski, be sure of that the ski is completly dry. and dont set the sticker on just hours before you'll ripping your hood, let them stand at least one night so the glue on the stick has dried right.
completly shocked over my own english.. omg, I feele so , norwegian.
well thats a nice rant but your missing the point, he is having problems with vinyl decals, like chipping or just plain falling off. and its best to clean the ski with alcohol, but you are right you should wait at least 24 hours b4 you ride your skis with new stickers
bahahahah, dude, dont feel bad, I cant even speak in any other languages other than english, like at all. I know a few words in spanish (really easy ones) and like one word in german. No way in hell could i try and type out a post on some foreign site and actually make any sense unless I was using a dictionary or some shit.
And thank you for that info. I have problems with stickers often as well.
