i have 1 that doesnt turn off sumtimes. it started working again, but it turns off sumtimes, and sumtimes it doesnt. i prolly wont sell it, but maybe?

Yeah, I have what I believe is a 3rd gen with the frowny-ipod-face on it. All the parts are fine, it's probably a software issue. Let me know what you'll offer for it.

i have one where i took out the hard drive because it works fine and the screen is perfect and it was missing one small part and thats why its broken

personally i loved my ipod. it held a charge, worked in the freezing cold, and went through the washing machine twice. and it never broke. but i lost it. damn.

i dont know how you all break your ipods so easly, i have had mine a year, it was stollen for 2 months and it still works perfect. you guys need to stop abusing your ipods

wrong...i need 4 ipods for myself and family, and i know how to work on them, so i collect a ton and use parts from each to make a working ipod.
and to anyone with a mini, i unfourtunately have no desire for them, sorry. nanos and videos are mainly what i am looking for.

ok so saying that apple has a good marketing scheme is the way to look at it?
zune in its 1st gen is what i think as better then any ipod yet. why? cuz there reliable.
i swear with an ipod u have to update it at least once a month. zune ive updated 3 times since last november. the zune works smoother. doesnt freeze up and take forever to unlock (and if it does, just hold 2 buttons for 5 sec to unfreeze which ive done once) ipods are so easy to scratch up! i know it doesnt effect the play but i dont wanna look at a smudged pos screen trying to find a song/watch a vid. presonally i think they both have some plus's and some minus's but to each his own. i love my zune and i havent met anyone who doesnt love theres. but as this thread shows. ipods arnt reliable.

different likes for different people.

and about the syncing with a mac, you can do it, its just to complicated for the average person, ive looked at some tutorials on it but its to complicated for my simple-ton self. and i dunno if you ran a microsoft OS on your mac could you make it compatible?

he wants the ipods for his crack dealership so he justs hands a guy a hollow ipod with crack, and the dude pays him. it doesn't look suspisious(sp) and thats a sweet idea.
