07 trouble makers

I searched but couldn't find what I was really looking for.  I'm 6'4", 220 lbs, and rode 182 foils last season.  Alot of people say they're not very stiff but I kinda like them, so first off how do the 07 tm's compare in stiffness?  Second, how is their durability?  I know they have the reinforced edges but i'm hearing mixed thoughts on the subject.  I'm really liking them as a ski for this year, but wasn't sure if they'd work out for me. 

If you don't think it's the right ski, throw out some suggestions on what I should be looking at, preferably 07 and able to find online for cheap.

maybe Addict pros 181cm they might be jsut right since you weight more you might want something stiffer. Fischer addict pro are gonna be sick i dont think they are cheap though

I'd get the addicts in a heart beat if i could find them for a decent price (below $300), but they're just too expensive.  I think the problem is theres no 07's out there, just 08's.

probably stiffer because i do a lot of park but also some all mountain when i go out to colorado or utah

Ok

I also used to ride on foils but after breaking them i ended up buying the tm's. They are for sure a lot stiffer than the foils and i like there feel a lot better. The tm's are probably not the best butter/press skis but they are sick off kickers. There stiff and poppy flex is so sick compared to the foils noodle like flop and they are not at all hard to get around even in the longer lengths. Being stiffer than the foils i found they are a little less forgiving but that aspect has just made me less sloppy. Unfortunatly the reinforced edges didnt stand up to my rail sliding. After about 2 months i ended up snapping one of them. However the extra ptex under your foot gives a nice and stiff base to balance on.

I overall prefer the tm to the foil but considering that you are a good 40 pounds more than me i cant say for sure they will ride the same for you.

Thanks, that really helps, now I just need to decide if I really think i'm gonna break an edge.  I've only skied for one year, and can basically do flat rails and 270's off, but I haven't tried any disasters or kinked rails or anything tough.  Would i be fine?

if you detune your edges so that they are round then you will be fine.
