Here is my story:
I'm home alone and i'm bored out of mine so i decided i was gonna play some halo 2 on the interwebz. So i'm sitting there and the phone rings. I check the caller ID and it says US government so of course i don't pick it up. 10 minutes later it rings again and it is the US government...again i don't pick it up.
About 30-45 minutes later the doorbell rings so i peak out the window and see an army recruiter and his car parked out side of my house... needless to say i was playing halo in my underwear so i didn't open the door.
Anyone else had some army guy just randomly show up at like 3:30 in the afternoon.

I just use to say I was gay to see their reaction then I would hang up the phone. Works every time.

haha thats awesome. the caller id actually says US government? even better if it would just say "the man"
you must have signed up for somethin at your school or told them you were interested. i can't believe they would just show up at your house for no reason. i get those stupid letters all the time but have yet to have someone come to my house

I don't know the marines commercial of a guy climbing a cliff, swept up in some type of cleansing tornado, given a sword, and then manifested in a group of racial diversity. That seams pretty appealing...

yeah man those guys are fucking crazy. they started calling me when i was like 16 like trying to persuade me to join the army and i made the mistake of saying i had considered it before and they immediatley wanted to set up a meeting to come to my house and shit i was just like 'i'll uhhhh get back to you with a time'....

come on? Who wouldn't want to climb rocks and play with swords? I mean, that commercial is about what you do in the marines, right?

To someday get a college education (assuming you survive), when otherwise you might never be able to afford it.
If your poor, enlisting in the army can be a major step towards substantial upward mobility (again, assuming you survive).
