remounting

is it a good idea to remount the binding? would it make the ski weaker since there are other holes on it? thanks.

Remounting once is fine, twice or more and you might run into problems. You need to have about a quarter inch between the new and old holes though.

I had my S900s taken off of my Skogens, then 6 months later I bought some more S900s and had them screwed into the same holes with a bit of wood glue - they've held up great.

if you are remounting first get the old holes filled in with the special yellow epxy they use. second make sure the new screw are at least a quarter inch from all the previous holes.

Option 2. keep same screw holes and screw a riser plate into them (lightweight rise plate though) then screw bindinges into riser plate.

Some bindings have more screw than others you you may have to go with option 2.

thanks, i did thought of using a riser plate but i don't really want to spend more than 20$ for the whole process.

If it's the same brand of bindings as were on before, and the same boot sole length, then just have them screwed into the existing holes. My local shop did it for free and I've had zero problems in nine months of riding them.

shit like that happens. I have already remounted bindings on my 03-4 volkls. I'm not worried about the ski. if u are getting skiis remounted dont go to squire john's they drilled right thru the bases on a pair of head world cup GS skiis ($1700) just the skiis! they're retarded there, at least they reimburse for screwing up ur shit.
