its 1750 just to rent the place then you have to pay 300 for fire marshall to be there 100 for city license and 250 for projection unit and 150 for a guy to do the projector

I think a better question would be to ask first who would be interested in going... then figure out approx. how many will go, then base the ticket prices on that.
And I'd pay anywhere up to $12. No more.

Honestly though, I don't think it's worth it, unless you can afford to lose some serious money. 12 bucks per person, you'd have to have around 200 people there just to pay it off...

ok, go to banks, go to places that want to appeal to this crowd, ie sell the demographic. There have got to be kids that ski in syracuse, that are in college/high school/and JH. Resturants, sunglasses stores, BANKS, i've had luck w/ wells fargo before, bars, local breweries, pet shops, moto stores that may sell snowmobiles, local/Small mtns, call the local university, etc...

i'm from the area, landmark is wayyyy too big a venue. i saw a premier of booter crunk at the Palace Theater and that was pretty legit so i'd recommend looking into that. besides that maybe check out SU, LeMoyne, OCC and see if they would rent out some place to you, hell check out the local highschools while you're at it. to be honest, for an event like this i would expect maybe 300 people as an estimate. as far as sponsors are concerned, hit up any place that does business to teens/young adults. armory square and downtown in general is a pretty legit place to start. and like mentioned above, banks are a pretty legit bet, you should definitely look into some of those. hope you get it all organized and everything goes smoothly, i'll be sure to make it as long as i can make the trip home from school.

So the [photo]play ski porn and show and prove premiere in my area last year was held in a local freeride shop. so if your shops have a semi large building you might be able to do it there and bam you have the presenting sponsor. Then just move all of the store's product out of the way (you can move those things that it is displayed on. and you have a large open area. then your sponsors don't just have to be local. If you attract enough people to this you can go bigger. I think the one I went to last year had around 300 people, and some of the sponsors were: K2 skis, Salomon, Smith Optics, Oakley, Dakine, POW Gloves, Sublux, Freeskier, Whistler Blackcomb (and this is in WA) and the Summit at Snowqualmie. then you could get some of the companies to have give aways (rafels for charties are always good) Now you have more ways of attracting people. a key thing to do would be to advertise, a few weeks ahead of the show, tell your friends about it, have them tell their friends, put up posters at your school if you are still in school. Tell people on NS about it. Do the same a week before the event. and then heavily premote it the few days before it.
Another great way to attract people is to have a local brewery have free or cheep beer avalible for people in attendence.
One thing that you should realize is that you should not be doing this to make money. make it so that all procieds will go to some local charty, people love that shit. And if you have it look like you are trying to make money for yourself, you will find it harder to get sponsors. this event should not benefit you at all other then that it will be a good thing to put on a resume.
