Buying Used

I'm debating buying a Canon EOS 20D off of a ebay.  It's used but in mint condition and no more than a 1,000 shots on it.  Or should I fork over another $400 and buy a new one?  Also what are your opinions on this dslr in comparision to the Rebel XTi?

if 400$ isn't a huge amount of money for you i think you should go with the new one cuz you'll get warrantys with it
